Our servicing and maintenance of your emergency lighting will cover your legal obligations due to all our work conforming to BS5266 (British Standard Reference).

We will ensure your emergency lighting will operate when needed, giving you peace of mind that you are adhering to the British Standard Reference keeping you and the public safe and secure.

  • The legal obligation for your company/premises is to have your emergency lights tested once per year for a 3-hour discharge test as per the British Standard.
  • This will save you the cost of the 2 service visits which some companies offer or provide.
  • Prices start from £60 depending on the size of the premises/system.
  • There will be an initial take over cost of the emergency lighting which will provide a report of any shortfalls or faults.

Flame Fire Protection provides service contracts and test and maintains all types of Emergency Lighting systems to BS5266.

What is emergency lighting?
Emergency lighting could be seen as one of the most important systems put in place to protect people in your property. It is installed to illuminate high traffic or at-risk areas in the event of a power cut (such as escape routes, high-risk areas, signage and fire safety equipment).

In the event of a power cut, the emergency lighting is designed to automatically illuminate ensuring these at-risk areas are well illuminated allowing safe evacuation of the building ensuring the emergency lighting works as required when needed most.

Hence, included in all our servicing is an annual and 6 monthly reminder, to alert you of when your next service is due. This gives you the additional support you need to keep your emergency lighting maintenance on track with the legal requirements of your business.
