Our servicing and maintenance of your fire extinguishers will cover your legal obligations due to all our work conforming to BS5306 (British Standard Reference). We will ensure your fire extinguishers are serviced to BS5306-3.
- We aim to be competitive with cost, therefore the price is £5.00 for a basic service per unit with no hidden charges such as tamper tags,o-rings & gauge patches. Which makes it easy for yourself the customer to work out costing.
- This price does not include refills, 5 yearly discharge tests, 10 yearly exchanges on C02 extinguishers or spare parts if required.
- We also offer a free survey and advice for installations or additions which will conform to BS5306-08, giving you peace of mind that you are adhering to the British Standard Reference keeping you and the public safe and secure.

What is fire extinguisher maintenance?
Fire Extinguisher Servicing and maintenance should be completed in compliance with BS5306. As a brief overview, we complete the following works on every fire extinguisher in compliance with BS5306.:
- The full-service process as detailed in BS5306.
- Ensure each fire extinguisher pressure is correct (not too high or low).
- Check the weight of the extinguisher against the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Replace all necessary small consumable parts, such as "o" rings and tags. (Included as standard in our costs)
- Ensure all hoses/horns are clear of obstruction and free from damage.
- Ensure the body of the fire extinguisher is in the correct condition (free of rust/damage).
- Ensure each extinguisher is free of obstructions.
- Ensure each fire extinguisher's instructions are clear and distinguishable.
- Ensure each fire extinguisher is correctly mounted with correct signage.
- Ensure each fire extinguisher is clean.
- Report any non-compliances, such units due to discharge tests or failures.
- Complete and provide the required paperwork to the client.
Create a full asset register detailing the location, extinguisher type, condition upon testing and any relevant notes. - What types of extinguishers do we service?
- We are able to service all types of portable fire extinguishers, from 1kg to 20kg including CO2, Foam, Water (including Water Mist & Water Additive), Powder (Including ABC and Class D) & Wet Chemical. Also fire blanket inspections.

Hence, included in all our servicing is an annual reminder to alert you of when your next service is due. This gives you the additional support you need to keep your extinguisher maintenance on track with the legal requirements of your business.
No Hidden Fees!
During the service of an extinguisher, small consumable parts (such as pins, tags, gauge stickers, o-rings & seals) must be replaced as part of the process. This isn't an optional extra as we must change the majority of these items on every visit to comply with British Standards, so we don't think it should be a hidden cost that is added to an invoice after the visit.
Here at Flame Fire Protection we include these small consumable items in our fixed price quotation (based on the number of units in the property) meaning there are no surprises following our visit.
